FAQ

Shipping, freshness, and the little details. The honest version.

What are Snowcubes?

Snowflake crisps — a nostalgic treat you'll find across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, and beyond. We layer marshmallow, crispy crackers, dried fruit, and nuts into a crispy-chewy bite, each one handmade in small batches in Queens, NY. Not too sweet, and we mean it.

Who makes Snowcubes?

Two of us — Leo and Nicole, in Queens, NY. Nicole forms the cubes by hand; Leo runs the website, shipping, and answers your emails. No factory, no warehouse — when you order, that's when we start making them.

What's the story behind Snowcubes?

Leo's mom introduced us to snowflake crisps and we were hooked from the first bite. Around then Leo had been laid off from his corporate job and Nicole wanted something hands-on and creative, so she made a batch. We kept experimenting until we landed on the texture and flavor we loved, then launched a little website to share it. We've been making them ever since.

Where does the name "Snowcubes" come from?

It started in our kitchen. Nicole was making a batch of snowflake crisps for the fun of it and asked Leo, "What if we named these Snowcubes?" It stuck — they're crisps, formed by hand into little cubes, so the name just fit.

Why do Snowcubes cost more than the supermarket ones?

Because they're made differently. Every cube is formed by hand and packed individually, we use great ingredients, and we're generous with the mix-ins. You're paying for the time and care in each one, not a factory line.

What makes Snowcubes different?

Some snowflake crisps are jawbreaker-hard, others are mostly marshmallow. Ours are balanced — crunchy, crispy, and chewy at once, less marshmallow-heavy so you get more of the crunch and the mix-ins. Small batch, made to order, not pulled off a shelf.

What flavors do you make?

Five right now: Classic (cranberry pistachio — the original), Strawberry Matcha, Cherry Oreo, Oatmeal Raisin Crumble, and Pineapple Coconut. The Classic is where most people start.

What comes in a box, and how is it packed?

Each box is 6 packs of 2 pieces — 12 pieces in all. The pieces are sealed two to a pack so they stay crisp until you open them, and every one is packed by hand.

Which flavor should I start with?

The Classic — cranberry pistachio is the original and the one most people fall for first. If you like a little more going on, Cherry Oreo and Strawberry Matcha are easy next picks.

Can I mix flavors in one order?

Each box is a single flavor — you pick one when you order. Want more than one? Add a box of each to your cart. For a single pre-mixed assortment, ask through the catering form and we'll put one together.

Are Snowcubes very sweet?

Not too sweet, and we mean it. They lean on tart fruit and nuts to balance the marshmallow — the crunch and the mix-ins do most of the work.

Do Snowcubes contain allergens?

Every Snowcube has milk and wheat, and the nuts vary by flavor — each flavor's ingredients are listed on its own product page, so anyone with an allergy can check before ordering. They're made in a kitchen that also handles soy.

What dried fruits and toppings do you use?

Real, recognizable ones — freeze-dried pineapple, coconut flakes, tart cherries, dried strawberries, matcha, pistachios, almonds, and Oreo cookies, depending on the flavor. Each product page shows exactly what's in that one.

How long do Snowcubes last?

About two weeks in an airtight container at room temperature. If they firm up, 5 seconds in the microwave brings the chew right back.

Do Snowcubes need to be refrigerated?

No. Keep them sealed at room temperature, away from heat and direct sun, and enjoy within about two weeks.

Why are Snowcubes sealed in packs?

We seal them two to a pack by hand, so the crisp, chewy texture arrives exactly right from our kitchen to you.

Do Snowcubes melt or go bad in transit?

They're shelf-stable and don't need refrigeration, so they travel without melting. Sealed and packed by hand to hold their texture — keep them sealed at room temperature once they arrive and enjoy within about two weeks.

When will my Snowcubes ship?

We make everything to order. Place your order by Friday 3 PM ET and it ships fresh the following Monday from our Little Neck kitchen in Queens, NY. Delivery time depends on where you are — we can't promise a date, but you'll get tracking once it's on the way.

How long will delivery take after it ships?

It heads out Monday morning and the carrier takes it from there. Times vary by destination, and since these are perishable we ship to go out fast but can't put a hard guarantee on the carrier. You'll have tracking once it's on its way.

Can I get my order sooner than the next Monday?

Our rhythm is order by Friday 3 PM ET, ship Monday. For a custom delivery date — catering or larger orders — reach out through our catering form and we'll help coordinate.

How do I check my order status or track it?

Your confirmation and shipping emails carry the details — once your order ships Monday from Queens, NY, the tracking link comes through there. Can't find it? Send us a note and we'll look it up.

How do I place an order?

Pick your flavors in the shop, add to cart, and check out. We make everything to order, so timing matters most: order by Friday 3 PM ET and we ship it fresh the following Monday from Queens, NY.

Do I need an account to order?

No. Check out as a guest with just an email and shipping details. An account is optional if you'd rather save your info.

What payment methods do you accept?

Checkout runs on Shopify, so the usual options are there — major credit and debit cards plus the express wallets Shopify supports. You'll see exactly what's available before you confirm.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We make everything to order, so timing matters. Reach out before the Friday 3 PM ET cutoff and we can almost always sort it out. Once we've started your batch over the weekend it's harder — but send a note and we'll do what we can.

Do you accept returns or refunds?

Because Snowcubes are fresh, handmade, perishable food, we can't take them back once they've shipped. But if something arrives damaged or wrong, that's on us — send a note with a photo and we'll make it right.

My order arrived damaged — what do I do?

Send a note through the contact page with a photo and your order number. We packed it to travel, but things happen in transit, and we want you to enjoy these — we'll make it right.

Can I add a gift note or have it gift-wrapped?

Yes. On the flavor page, choose the gift-wrap option, then write your card — pick a design and add your note, or leave it blank to write by hand. Same not-too-sweet treat, packed to give.

Can I send Snowcubes straight to someone?

Yes — choose the gift-wrap option, write your note, and ship to their address at checkout. It arrives wrapped with your card. Shelf-stable and sealed, so they hold up fine on the road.

What does the gift card look like when it arrives?

You pick a design and write a short note at checkout, and we tuck it in with the box. Prefer to write it yourself? Leave it blank and we'll send the card.

Do you make wedding favors?

Yes — wedding favors are something we love doing, packed with the same not-too-sweet recipe we sell in the shop. There are a few ways we do it: a single sealed pouch per place setting, a single piece for welcome bags, a sealed two-pack for the dessert table, or a wrapped custom box. There's a minimum and a few weeks of lead time, mostly in the warmer months — tell us your date, guest count, and what you're picturing through the wedding form and we'll confirm the details and work it out together.

How do I order for an event, party, or in bulk?

Use the catering request form and include your event date and the delivery timing you're hoping for. We do baby showers, birthdays, company events, and more. Nicole reads these herself and writes back.

Can event orders be customized — branding, ribbons, custom flavors?

Yes — for events we can do branded packaging, ribbons, floral accents, personalized notes, and custom flavor assortments. Tell us what you're picturing and we'll figure it out together.

I have an allergy — can you accommodate it for an event?

We make everything in a kitchen where nuts, dairy, soy, and wheat are all around, so cross-contact is real. If allergies matter for your day, tell us when you write and we'll walk through it honestly.

What flavors can we have at our wedding?

All five: Classic (cranberry pistachio), Strawberry Matcha, Cherry Oreo, Oatmeal Raisin Crumble, and Pineapple Coconut. Tell us which you're thinking and we'll help you build an assortment.

When in the year do you take wedding and event orders?

Mostly the warmer months — May through October is when most weddings and events land for us. Outside that window, write anyway and we'll be honest about whether it works.

Can I buy Snowcubes in a store, or only online?

Mostly online — we make everything to order and ship from Queens, NY. You'll also catch us in person now and then at fairs and markets, and sometimes in a NYC cafe. The lineup changes, so the best way to find us in person right now is Instagram @trysnowcubes or a note through our contact page.

Do you do farmers markets, fairs, or pop-ups?

We do — pop-ups and fairs are some of our favorite days. Dates move with the season, so the surest way to catch us at a booth is @trysnowcubes on Instagram or a note through our contact page.

Where are Snowcubes made, and how do I reach you?

Handmade in small batches in our Little Neck kitchen in Queens, NY. The best way to reach us is the contact form on our site — it's usually Leo or Nicole reading it. You can also find us on Instagram @trysnowcubes.

What's your customer service like?

It's literally us. Questions, feedback, an order issue — send it through the contact form and Leo or Nicole will read it and reply. No call-center, no script.
